Professional Scrum Master
Preparation for Scrum.org’s PSM I assessment.
What this page is — and is not
Tanith Academy does not award PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, ITIL, Scrum.org, IIBA, AWS, Microsoft, CompTIA, ACCA, CIM or GRI credentials. We prepare candidates. Where a cohort is delivered by an authorized partner, that provider is named. A Tanith certificate of completion or participation is not the external professional certification.
What the certification is
- Professional Scrum Master I is an assessment of Scrum understanding, offered by Scrum.org. There is no mandatory course. A pass is Scrum.org’s decision. This is not the Scrum Alliance CSM.
Issuing organization
- Scrum.org
Professional benefits
- A respected, exam-based Scrum credential with no renewal training requirement at level I.
Eligibility
- PSM I has no eligibility gate. You buy the assessment from Scrum.org when you are ready.
Prerequisites
- Read the Scrum Guide. The workshop assumes you have seen a team try to use Scrum.
Examination
- Online assessment via Scrum.org. The assessment fee is paid to Scrum.org.
Official exam fees are charged by the issuing body and are not included unless a cohort states otherwise.
Training format
- Two-day live online workshop.
Training provider
- Tanith Academy with James Okonkwo. Not a Scrum.org award.
